Maple - Minature Poodle Mix ADOPTED 8/20/23

She may have been from a farm, but she was not hesitant to jump right on the couch. My male Sheltie has been a nuisance checking her out. But she is not shy to yell at him when she's had enough.   She is a velcro dog full of spunk and needs some manners. She does submissive pee sometimes. It's not consistent.  She LOVE food and tries to eat everyone's food. She doesn't know no. She gets very excited if she wants to go somewhere or sniffs something but most the time she will come right back to you.  She's shy at times, but she warms up quickly. She's been fine with my daughter so far. She runs up to lick her and ask for pets. So far, so good.

  Maple was full of energy. It took a few minutes to convince her she cannot sit on my lap while we drive home. So then she naturally found my daughter's carseat and made it her own.  We had to stop at HAWS for another pup and she was jumpy, hyper, excited and very much wanted human attention. But after ignoring her a bit she realized if she calmly sat down she would get a pet.  She was quite stinky when I picked her up so I dunked her right into the bathtub when we got home. She was happy to jump out, but overall did pretty well.  She dried well, and dried quickly actually. Poodle hair huh? Awesome.
